The next gadget is the Samsung Galaxy Note with ‘S Pen’. It has the largest screen for a smart phone, 5.3 inches. The ‘S’ Pen lets the user draw and send handwritten images and notes via text message, email, and instant message.
LG has developed a Smartscan Mouse. This 2 in 1 device lets the user scan pages that are larger than most scanners.
Sony has released their Personal 3D Viewers. These are for fans of games and movies. They come with built-in surround-sound headphones.
Toshiba has developed a No-Glasses 3D TV. The TV creates the illision of depth without having to wear special glasses. This is done by putting lenses in front of the screen.
Sony has developed the thinnest camera ever made. It is called Cyber-shot TX55. It takes still pictures as well as full HD video. The camera has a back panel for showing photos and movie clips. It also has 3D picture taking capabilities.
LG has a new plasma TV with ‘PenTouch’ technology . It can be connected to a computer so information can be saved from the TV to files on the computer. Users can draw pictures on the TV screen and save them to the computer. The TV comes with a scratch resistant screen.
Toshiba has a new Ultrabook Portege 2380 super portable notebook. It weighs just 2.5 pounds. It is also less than 1/2 inch thick. It will be available November 2011. It is just one of several companies that have released new notebooks.
Samsung announced the release of the Samsung Nexus smart phone this month. It is first smart phone to run the Android 4.0 OS. It features a 4.65 inch super “Amoled” touchscreen, a 5 megapixel camera, up the 32GB of internal memory, a compass, accelerometer, compass, and it has a barometer. It will be available in November.
Last week Motororola unveiled the Droid Razr. It is the worlds thinnest smart phone. It is the first phone with splash guard that protects the inside and outside of the phone from water damage. The phone also has special battery technology that allows for 30 hours of use.
